With underinflated tires eating up gas, where is the Tweel?

Some 3.56 million gallons of gas are wasted each day because of incorrectly-inflated tires according to the U.S. Department of Energy or $14.2 million in gas a day at $4/gal. In 2004, Michelin shocked the world with a revolutionary airless tire technology that could change transportation as we know it, the Tweel. Four years later, where’s Tweel?
